You can leave your cares behind when you come to Chilhowee Mountain Retreat. You set your own schedule. After enjoying your first cup of coffee on the porch while checking out the forest edges for bears or deer, you will feast on a delicious breakfast that will put a smile on your face and leave you satisfied.

Discover the Joys of Porch Rocking

The day is yours. You can just relax and do nothing in what will soon become your favorite porch rocking chair. For those seeking a more rugged experience, there are 10½ acres of natural mountain forest for you to explore. You can stroll the ridge or enjoy the flower gardens with their exotic butterflies or watch the hummingbirds competing for nectar at the many feeders. If you look carefully you will see the small lizards and salamanders scurrying about the rocks in the gardens.

Let the Fresh Mountain Air Revive Your Spirit

You can spend part of your day spoiling yourself by cleansing your body in the steam shower and then pampering yourself in an air-jet tub as you take in the soothing aroma of essential oils swirling around you.

If it is privacy you desire, your room provides a comfortable place to sit and read or you can enjoy the loft as you let your mind wander while gazing at the beautiful woodwork of this log cabin home. The great room and porches are also favorite spots to kick back and relax. With a limited number of guest accommodations you will feel as if the Inn was built just for you.
